Austin’s downtown is designed with the pedestrian in mind. There’s convenient, storefront parking throughout the area, and streets are lined with decorative lighting, kiosks, sitting areas and seasonal displays. In the summertime, the area is known for its spectacular display of hanging baskets and floral planters. Later, seasonal decorations give the entire area a warm holiday glow. Anytime you’re looking for that one-of-a-kind gift or a relaxing store-to-store stroll, downtown is the place for you.
