New this year!

The Izaak Walton Cabin will be open for use as a warming house for the land rink on weekend afternoons from 1-5 pm.

The Cabin is also available for private skating parties.

Christmas Crafts

To get you into the Christmas spirit, hand dipped candles will be made from beeswax and wreaths will be made from cedar and pine. Minimum age is 12 and must be accompanied by a parent.

Please choose one session:

Session I Tuesday, December 2nd  6-9 pm

Session II Thursday, December 4th  6-9 pm

Session III Saturday, December 6th 9 am-12 pm

Fee is $15, pre-registration is required. Refreshments and materials provided.

 

Cross Country Skiing for Beginners

Come and enjoy the stark beauty of winter! The Nature Center has some of the best trails in the region. The diagonal stride method will be taught and practiced. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $4 (includes ski rental, shoes, poles, and lesson)

Ski Rental

Skis, shoes, and poles are available to rent for $4 for a three hour block. A cross county ski license is required for ages 16-65 to ski on the Nature Center Trails.

Weekend rental hours are Saturdays 9 am-12 pm & 1-5 pm and Sundays 1-5 pm.
