"WINTER ROLL" ENTRY DEADLINE - Friday, December 12

You may register on or before the deadline day! When registering you must have the team entry fee, roster, and six player fees

6 PLAYER FEES MUST BE PAID BY THE ENTRY DEADLINE OR YOUR TEAM IS NOT CONSIDERED REGISTERED!

ALL LEAGUES WILL PLAY AT THE ELLIS MIDDLE SCHOOL

LATE REGISTRATIONS - Anyone registering after the respective entry deadline will be charged a $25 late fee if the team is accepted! The Park and Recreation Department has the right to refuse any late registrations.

Teams have been placed in leagues according to their last season's win-loss records. All newly formed teams will be placed in the lower league unless, due to their ability, they request to play in a higher league. A team is considered the same team as the previous year if at least 3 players are returning to the team. The League Director may make changes in league placement if warranted.

*All play will be governed by official high school rules with league and MSF modifications. All leagues will be officiated.

UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT will not be tolerated. Individuals or teams will be suspended from league play if poor conduct is reported. Please inform your players.

Unsportsmanlike conduct includes: (a) derogatory remarks to officials or opponents

(b) questioning or trying to influence officials' decisions

(c) showing disgust with officials' decisions

STATE TOURNAMENTS:

Women March 21-22 in St. Cloud

Men March 28-29

Co-Ed April 4-5 in Austin

STATE ENTRY FEE: $100 (make checks payable to MSF)

ENTRY FEE DUE: Your state entry fee is due in the Park and Recreation Office by Monday, February 2.

NOTE: The officials working in our leagues will probably not be MSHL registered officials due to the high cost, however, we will hire individuals with volleyball knowledge and skills.

Anyone interested in officiating should contact Val at 433-1881, training sessions are available.

PLAYER FEES

$5....residents living within the corporate city limits

$10....for anyone living outside the corporate city limits

* Captains/Managers: Player fees need to be paid only once per player. If a player is listed on another team's roster in Austin, record the team he or she plays for on your official roster. There will be no refunds on players fees. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW WHAT TEAM ROSTER YOUR PLAYERS ARE PAID ON!

Men's League - Monday nights

January 5 - March 30 (no February 16)

Women's League - Wednesday nights

Purple The teams which consistently use power volleyball skills.. A highly competitive league

Blue - Teams which consistently attempt to use power volleyball skills.

Red - Teams which do not consistently use power volleyball skills, such as pass, set, and spike.

White - This is a recreational league with loose officiating to maintain control.

January 7 - April 1 (no February 25)

Level I - The teams which consistently use power volleyball skills. A highly competitive league.

Level II-Blue - Teams which consistently attempt to use power skills such as pass, set, spike and have visible volleyball knowledge and skills.

Level II-Red - Teams which are less consistent with their skills but still have the ability.

Level II-White - Volleyball teams that are newly organized or in early stages of development in learning individual and team skills.

January 8/9 - April 2/3

The Co-Ed League will play on Thursday or Friday night, 1 game per week. If you have a night (Thursday or Friday) your team absolutely can not play, let us know when you register, we will schedule to the best of our ability. Please try to be flexible.

$10 Roster Deposit is returned when a completed MN Sports Federation roster is turned in.

ROSTER: Maximum of 12 players on a team roster. A player's name may only appear on one co-ed roster per night and one single sex roster. Players may only play for the team which has their name on their roster. State rosters must be filled out for the "Winter Roll" teams.

SCHEDULES: "Winter Roll" schedules will be ready on Wednesday, December 31.

ROSTER CHANGES: Last day for managers to make changes to their rosters. Monday, February 2.

Players must be on the roster and have their player fee paid before they play in league, or your team will forfeit any games an illegal player participated in.

Players must be 18 years of age or older to play in the adult league.
