The Finance Department consists of two closely
related operating departments. The Accounting Department, administers the technical
operation and recording of the monetary value of the service provided by all city
operations. The City Clerk's office, performs the customer service and public contact
functions for the daily operating routines.
The Accounting Department is responsible for
the fiscal management, processing, and maintenance of all accounting transactions. The
various types of transactions including budgeting, accounts payable, payroll, accounts
receivable, and cash receipts are recorded and reported to departments, boards and council
according to generally accepted accounting principles. Please click here for current year

The Accounting Department also coordinates a
variety of other activities including bonding for capital project construction, insurance
management for City property, liability and employee protection, investment and treasury
management, the annual operating and capital budgets, and the management of city-wide data
processing operations
